Tianjin becomes the 14th city to launch 72-hour Visa-free Transit Policy

News: Yesterday, Tianjin Binhai International Airport ushered in the first passenger who enjoys the 72-hour visa-free transit, carried out on June 8. Tianjin becomes the 14th city to launch 72-hour Visa-free Transit Policy, following after Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xian, Kunming, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenyang, Dalian, Guilin, Hangzhou, Wuhan and Xiamen (Click to read the Visa-free Tours).

According to the 72-hour Visa-free Transit Policy, tourists from 51 countries with valid visa and air ticket to the third country or region (Hong Kong) can go through the formalities at certain counter in the airport. The tourist can stay Tianjin for less than 72 hour without China visa (the time starts to calculate from 0:00 next day).

51 Countries:
(1) 24 European countries with Schengen Visa: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland;
(2) 7 Other European countries: Russia, England, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbi, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania;
(3) 6 American countries: the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile;
(4) 2 Oceania countries: Australia, New Zealand;
(5) 6 Asian countries: South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar.

(1) Holding valid international travel documents that can prove their nationality and identity;
(2) Qualified for the entry requirements of their destination country;
(3) Holding valid air tickets or arrangements with specific dates and seat numbers which prove they will make transit via Tianjin Binhai International Airport to the third country or region within 72 hours;
(4) Being reported to China’s exit-entry frontier inspection authorities by their airline companies.
